Challenges

How are we financed?

Throughout the years, each member has supported the organization with personal means, some of the members had to sell some of their properties to assist the Orphans.

We have tried to create avenues to generate funds through International Trade Fairs exhibitng Handmade carvings crafted by widows and some skilled orphans.

100-300 Beds Hospital Construction

We urgently want a facility where HIV/AIDS orphans and COVID-19 affected children can be admitted and get FREE medical services, medicines, and immunization treatments.

One of the main reasons these orphans and widows are abandoned is because of the lack of financial support. They cannot afford even the cheapest healthcare services. Most hospitals no longer take them because those who bring them abandon them to doctors, who then discharge them.

They die in humiliation, with tremendous sadness and suffering, since they have nowhere to go. We desperately need to build a hospital to give with free health care, medicines, immunizations, and other everyday necessities. As we create basic way for the widows to support themselves financially, they cannot do much if they are not healthy.

An Emergency Ambulance.

The current situation necessitates the use of an emergency ambulance to take orphans from rural communities to the nearest health institutions in the region.
Illness is quite unpredictable.

At 3 a.m., an Orphan feels acute aches and cries out for aid, another falls unconscious, and another vomits excessively.

We are compelled to carry them on our shoulders and go 10 to 13 kilometers to the nearest health center because we lack transportation.

We desperately require an ambulance to transport them over great distances to medical institutions in order to save lives.

Long Lasting Canned Foods, dairy products and more...

Some of the advantages of canned foods are:

  • They can be stored without refrigeration for a long time.
  • The process used in preparing caned food tends to hold on to more of the vitamins.
  • These can be stocked in piles as they have longer shelf life.

MORE IS NEEDED

Bedding

We desperately need bedding for HIV/AIDS-infected youngsters who are now sleeping on the floor or on floor Mats.

These HIV/AIDS orphans and widows dwell in the freezing highland slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. In their current state, sleeping on the cold floor is shortening their life.

Mosquito Nets for the Orphans and Widows

A supply of mosquito nets for orphans and widows is more important than ever to avoid lethal epidemics of Dengue and/or Malaria.

Malaria and dengue fever are worldwide pandemics. Every day, a child’s life is lost as a result of these catastrophic life-threatening plagues. The worst-case situation is when an HIV/AIDS-infected child contracts Malaria or Dengue. If healthy people can’t stand the stings of Malaria and/or Dengue, what about HIV/AIDS patients? However, using insecticide-treated bed mosquito-nets, people can avoid a double tragedy.
